During the spring and summer, tens of thousands of Little League games are played. Each year thousands of volunteer umpires take to the field giving their time, experience and wisdom, while often receiving no pay. Over the course of several seasons a select group of these invaluable volunteers have displayed their commitment to Little League, while refining a unique combination of judgment, interpersonal skills and patience that has been recognized by Little League International with appointments to one of Little League’s eight World Series.
